What. A. Week.
The energy was off the charts as the entire Lutheran North Middle School community gathered to cheer on our Crusader Boys’ Basketball Team during the Lutheran Basketball Association of America (LBAA) National Tournament in Fort Wayne, Indiana. With eyes on the screen and hearts full of school spirit, our halls buzzed with excitement as the team took the court for their opening-round game.
And they did not disappoint.
The Crusaders came out strong, dominating their first matchup against the Bethlehem Eagles (Overland Park, Kansas) with a commanding 63-35 victory. From the first whistle, it was clear: this team was on a mission.
With grit, hustle, and a whole lot of heart, the boys advanced all the way to the Final Four—a tremendous accomplishment on the national stage. After a hard-fought semifinal, the Crusaders closed out their tournament journey with a strong showing in the third-place game!
This exciting tournament run is no fluke—in fact, Lutheran North has built a proud tradition of excellence in middle school basketball, with multiple appearances at Nationals in recent years. Our Crusaders continue to raise the bar, season after season, thanks to passionate coaching, dedicated players, and unwavering support from families and staff.
But beyond the wins and rankings, what makes us most proud is the character this team has shown. They’ve modeled sportsmanship, resilience, teamwork, and the unmistakable Crusader spirit that defines our school.
A standing ovation to our boys, their coaches, and the entire community who cheered them on every step of the way!
We can’t wait to see what next season brings—but one thing’s for sure: the future is bright at Lutheran North.
Go Crusaders!
