• Art Club

  In addition to the fine arts classes offered at Lutheran North, students can meet after school to work on artwork from class, or personal art work outside of class. This community encourages students with a passion for art create, collaborate, and discuss art together.

• Fellowship of Christian Athletes

  Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) allows students to unite their two passions, faith and athletics, to impact the world for Jesus Christ. Nationally, FCA has been in existence for 60 years. 
  

   

  At Lutheran North, FCA is a student-led organization that is open to any student, especially athletes. FCA reaches out to others through athletics and other activities. The group meets periodically throughout the school year. At each meeting one of the students leads the group in devotions, fellowship and prayer. As a group FCA plans service projects throughout the school year to benefit the community. Over the years they have hosted “See You At The Pole,” a national event where students meet at the flagpole of their school for prayer. They also plan other service events, school activities, and Bible studies for any student or faculty member to participate in.
  
  

  The purpose of this group is to give each of the students another opportunity outside of the classroom to hear the Word of God, especially through athletics. The group also provides an outlet for students of Lutheran North to build each other up in their faith and to have fun at the same time.

• Green Team (Recycle)

• Robotics Team

• Chapel Crew

  Chapel Crew sets up for and breaks down from worship time in the gym four days per week. Crew members handle paraments, candles, piano, hymnals, sound system and any other items needed for worship. Students may apply to be a part of Chapel Crew each spring. 

• Future Business Leaders of America

  FBLA is a co-curricular club that helps promote leadership and academic achievement. In order to be a member of FBLA, students must have taken or must be enrolled in a business course at Lutheran North. Courses include Computer Applications I or II, Multimedia Presentations, Introduction to Business, Business Management / Entrepreneurship, Accounting I or II, Marketing, Office Procedures, Economics and Business Law.
  
  

  FBLA’s activities include district and state competitions. Events from all areas of business are offered. The group also participates in a variety of other business-related activities throughout the year, including charity fundraisers.

• National Honor Society

  National Honor Society membership is based on four attributes: Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service. Members of this group are blessed by the Lord with talents and abilities that are pretty outstanding. But the true idea behind NHS is to use what God gave us in service to others.
  
  

  Each high school is host to its own chapter of National Honor Society. All NHS members across the nation must be selected on the basis of the same required four criteria, which are: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. At Lutheran North, those sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have a 3.2 GPA, or above, are eligible to be considered by the faculty selection committee that evaluates them on the three remaining criteria of NHS membership, which are regarded in equal value. If selected, students are notified by letter and must attend the installation to become members. This takes place second semester. Thereafter, they are required to maintain a 3.2 cumulative G.P.A., show cooperative school behavior, and are expected to take an active part in the activities of the organization in order to retain their membership and keep it in good standing. NHS membership is considered a great honor and a mark of prestige locally and nationally, but it is a service honorary organization with expectations attached and not just a one-time honor.
  
  

  At Lutheran North, the Crusader Chapter of NHS provides such services as reading the daily announcements, acolyting for daily chapel services, helping with the Academic Fair, tutoring, serving as ushers for special activities, and running two blood drives per year. Any second-semester sophomore, junior, or senior student with a 3.2 GPA is eligible to be considered by the faculty committee for membership. National Honor Society is an honorary service organization and an enjoyable stewardship experience available for selected students at Lutheran North.

• Peer Ministry

  Peer Ministers are faculty-appointed student leaders who are mentors, role models, and leaders in the school. They mentor and welcome freshman and transfer students and are the leaders of the Small Group Chapels held each week. Peer Ministers are responsible for preparing weekly Bible studies and leading discussions and prayers for a group of 15 students. Peer Ministers are held to the highest of standards academically, behaviorally, and personally, and they are afforded the opportunity to shine as leaders at Lutheran North. Peer Ministers are required to attend a one-day training in early August.

• Speech and Debate Team

  Speech and debate is a MSHAA-governed activity gives students the opportunity to compete in a variety of events ranging from dramatic interpretation to radio broadcasting to traditional policy debate.  
  
  

  In order to participate, students must meet MSHAA's eligibility requirements.  Practices are held twice weekly, with weekend tournaments held on weekends in the fall and winter.  

• Student Council

  Student Council (STUCO) at Lutheran North is a fun, energetic and entertaining group of students who organize and lead a variety of school activities including Homecoming, Spirit Days, and more. Student Council is a very positive group to be apart of because they help to make the school activities enjoyable while also helping to provide for those in need outside of the school.
